A Blind Transfer is a transfer to another extension without actually initiating a call to the end destination. The call is blindly transferred to the destination. By comparison, an attended transfer is a transfer where before actually transferring to the destination, the call is put on hold and another call is initiated to confirm whether the end destination actually wants to take the call or not. These two calls are then merged together.

  • Press the Answer soft key to answer an incoming call.
  • Press the Transfer soft key, end the extension number of the person you would like to transfer the call to. Press the Transfer soft key.

  • Press the Transfer soft key during a call.

  • Press the Send softkey, OK or # to dial.
  • After the party answers the call, press the Transfer soft key to complete the transfer.

When you need to dial in from outside MC or provide information for someone external to MC to call you on your MC number can use the following information:

  1. Dial the College number (02 4954 6222 or +612 4954 6222) and expect to hear the “Welcome to Macquarie College” message
  2. Either wait for the last option that advises to enter a 3 digit extension number or enter the 3 digit number at any time during the menus
  3. You will now be calling that number extension directly

E.g. 02 49546222 > 400
